USPS Shipping fiasco

Here is tracking for your letter coming to you Belve via USPS..........
1. placed in mailbox
2. mail carrier picked up
3. might make it there 6 days
4. lost in the abyss
5. who the hell knows

You ain't telling me anything. Linda has been on the phone all morning trying to find a Rossi 22 that a guy from Mississippi won on the BamaCarry membership drawing and shipped by AGT. It was put in USPS MONDAY THE 23th. The guy called and asked why it hadn't moved since then. It was dropped off in Clanton over a week ago and it shows it hasn't moved. When she called Clanton the guy said, "I don't see it anywhere here." The have started an investigation and will let us know what they find out in two or three days. If it's gone we have to to report it as stolen and deal with the damn ATF.

As a follow up we are trying to get into our UPS account and since we haven't used it in so long they won't let us back in or let us set up a new one. We do have one with Fed-Ex and as bad as I hate to have to ship through them I guess we. can.

It appears UPS has changed the rules. Now we have to have 2 accounts. One for shipping guns, which basically says they are not responsible for anything, and another to ship everything else, and they STILL won't give me a rate. Our old account was closed due to inactivity so we are now trying to open both new accounts and UPS requires I sign a contract and give them a copy of our FFL and even then they basically say they can cancel the contract in the middle of a shipment and are not responsible for any loss. This thing is nuts. OH, and I am going to tell you the name of the "agent" we dealing with---I'm telling you the God's honest truth and if I'm lying I'm dying his real name is---I shit you not Noha Salah El Amawl. I'm not kidding. I can't even READ that name much less pronounce it.
In other news the rifle we shipped for BamaCarry to an FFL in Mississippi on the 14th of this month is now in Nashville---NASHVILLE. Why in the hell would a package that was shipped from Clanton Alabama be shipped to a town in Mississippi that is only 250 miles SOUTH go to Nashville. I guess I should be happy they found the damn thing. When Linda called Monday ( a week after it was shipped) and asked if they could tell her anything they answered "I own know, hits prolly loss." YA REKON !!!!

USPS strikes again. Mailed a letter 10 days ago to Texas and still has not arrived. Have you gotten my letter Belve?

Got it, came in yesterday. I meant to post it and forgot in the middle of Krp getting here and unloading. Thanks

FedEx is as bad as USPS on their ground shipment. The air part that handguns use if fine or at least my driver is top notch. I had a Savage 110 supposed to be here Monday via ground deliver through Bessemer Al, got an email said it was delayed because of "operational problems" then the driver pulled up that could barely speak english and said he had to stop here even though he didn't have the package and he wanted water ( I don't blame him for that). Then I got an email said the package would be delivered today by 11:30 ( yeah, like that's gonna happen). I pissed away all day yesterday waiting on it because I have to sign for a firearm. Then today it shows up at 5:00pm just about the time I let Ruby out before she exploded. I had to tackle the dog and put her back in the house and got the package that looked like it had been run over by a forklift. The only thing i can say is the fella I got it from packed it well. It's finally here and appears to be all in one piece.

I don't what the general public is supposed to do with the shipping supply chain. Seems like a lot of complacency with all the carriers. Being Unions has probably got something to do with it. Pay more...get less.

It appears it is trouble with the employees and their work ethic. I get FedEx deliveries from the Homewood hub and it is on time, undamaged and delivered by the best most personable lady that has ever driven a truck, plus Ruby loves her. She keeps treats in the truck and even calls Ruby by name and pets and loves on her. The ground service comes out of Bessemer Alabama and is NEVER on time, and I have yet to see the same driver twice, most of the time it is someone who english is their second language, driving a non-descrip truck with at best a FedEx sticker on the side or on the bumper, they are always late in the afternoon --as in past 5 o'clock and almost everyone of them drive past the driveway and has to back up in the road, like yesterday. I HAVE A SIGN sitting beside the road with big red letters saying American Gun Trading 227 county rd 74, deliveries HERE with an arrow and they still can't find it. It would be better if they just shut the Bessemer hub and put everything through Homewood.
Bessemer is where two drivers got caught dumping the packages in a ditch and this looks like where this box has been. I think another driver or two were caught just out and out stealing stuff from the trucks. Bessemer was never thought to a be a bastion of law and order anyway but in the last 20 years it is almost a getto. They can't get anyone from there to work and nobody wants to go in there without an armed escort.
